COTSWORKS operates a 5000 sq/ft manufacturing and integration facility located just outside of Cleveland, OH. Our manufacturing area meets MIL STD-1686 and has an audited and certified S20.20 ESD program. Product is manufactured under JSI/J-STD-001 standard for Electronic assemblies. A qualified parts list is in place for all parts manufactured under these standards. Our quality system is ISO equivalent with ISO 9001 certification in process started this year (2007). Fiber optic cables are manufactured with hand and automated polishers and visual inspection equipment. All connectors are tested to meet or exceed TIA and IEC specifications for insertion loss, return loss, and endface geometry.

Unique to COTSWORKS in the fiber optic marketplace, is our focus on integrating fiber optic cabling, transceivers, and the associated test equipment.
- Fiber optic cables and transceiver pigtailed assemblies are built in an ESD safe environment.
- Transceiver power readings and cable measurements can be stored in a unique database accessible to our customers on-line.
- We do our own MIL 883 testing of transceivers and cabling
- All conformal coating is done in-house; parts never leave our ESD safe environment
- We developed our own transceiver test platform (Optotrek), optical attenuators (Optofy), and network management (Optronica) to automatically test multiple assemblies at once at specified temperatures. We re-sell these systems to qualified customers so they can reproduce our testing at their certification and product labs.
