Facilities

COTSWORKS operates a 6000 sq/ft manufacturing and integration facility located outside of Cleveland, OH. Our manufacturing area meets MIL STD-1686 and has an audited and certified S20.20 ESD program. Product is manufactured under JSI/J-STD-001 standard for Electronic assemblies. A qualified parts list is in place for all parts manufactured under these standards. Our quality system is ISO equivalent with ISO 9001 and AS9100 certification in process and slated for completion in Q1 of 2009.

Unique to COTSWORKS in the fiber optic marketplace, is our focus on integrating fiber optic cabling, transceivers, and the associated test equipment for mission critical applications. To do this, we have developed the following processes and intellectual property:

• - Optronica©: a hardware and software opto-electric transceiver test platform which provides Intra or Internet complete test data, not just pass fail.
  
  
• - Optronica includes proprietary transceiver test platforms including multi-channel transceiver test with software automation.
  
  
• - OptoTrek© and Optofy© transceiver test hardware provides electrical transceiver test information as well as optical switching, VOA, and In-line power monitoring used internally and sold to our design-win customers.
  
  
• - Fiber optic cables and transceiver pigtailed assemblies are built in an ESD safe environment using automated polishers, visual inspection scopes, and interferometers. All connectors are tested to meet or exceed TIA and IEC specifications for insertion loss, return loss, and endface geometry.
  
  
• - Conformally coat parts in-house with multiple technologies including Paralyne ©
  
  
• - Developed capacity to process 3000 transceivers per month at 65% utilization with the option of full parametric testing at multiple temperatures.
